Darren Townsend

Darren Townsend is a mining engineer with over 20 years of mining experience in senior management roles and over 10 years of corporate experience running ASX & TXS listed companies. He has worked in several jurisdictions and has experience in specialty metals, precious metals and bulks. Mr Townsend joined De Grey Mining in 2004 as general manager of operations and subsequently became managing director from 2006-2008 and chair from 2011-2012. He was also general manager of Sons of Gwalia's Wodgina tantalum operation and superintendent of mine production with Rio Tinto at Mt Tom Price.
