Craig Carter is a Perth-based company director with a background in stockbroking and investment banking, including over 35 years in capital markets and advisory roles.
Mr Carter spent 15 years at Macquarie Group where he was executive director and chair of the investment bank in Western Australia. During his time at Macquarie Group, he also managed its Emerging Leaders Securities teams and Equity Syndication business, raising billions of dollars in new equity via primary and secondary structures. Prior to Macquarie, he spent 15 years as the major shareholder of successful broking and corporate advisory business Porter Western. He and his partners accepted a buy-out proposal from Macquarie Bank.
Mr Carter now runs his family office Carter Investment Group.
In September 2022, Mr Carter was appointed a member of the advisory board at the Bank of America, whose role is to assist its senior team and clients, including mentoring up-and-coming dealmakers and expanding relationships. He has also been on the boards of ASX-listed mortgage broker Australian Finance Group and Fremantle Football Club.
