Octava Minerals has tapped the market for $1 million in a bid to expand the antimony prospect within its Yallalong project in WA, with plans for both extensional and infill drilling. In a further show of support, company directors have also agreed to stump up $150,000 to provide a cash boost that will bolster the funds required for planned exploration programs.

Lithium and gold explorer Octava Minerals hit the ASX boards today opening at $0.27 as it eclipsed its issue price of $0.20 by 35 per cent. Podium Minerals has unveiled a substantial increase in the inferred mineral resource estimate for its flagship Parks Reef multi-metals project in WA following a recently completed reverse circulation drilling campaign. The revised resource for Parks Reef's platinum group metals horizon now stands at 40.2 million tonnes weighing in at 1.54 grams per tonne 3E PGM for 1.98 million ounces of contained platinum, palladium and gold.

ASX-listed platinum group metals explorer Podium Minerals has boosted its coffers by another A$1.1 million after receiving a payment of $711,000 from EV Metals Group for tenement-related costs. Perth-based Podium is also looking to offload its 17 per cent shareholding in EV Metals, who holds the oxide mining rights excluding PGM mineralisation within Podium's Parks Reef project area in the Mid West region of WA.

Podium Minerals' non-executive chairman and major shareholder, Clayton Dodd has stepped up into the executive chair role in a move that is part of a plan to cut corporate overheads by $300,000 per annum whilst continuing to leverage the expertise of the existing management team. Podium's CEO, Tom Stynes will step down but will continue to manage the company operations and Grant ‘Rocky' Osborne has resigned as a director in support of the cuts.
