Clare Amies was appointed chief executive of Activ Foundation on July 1, 2024, following Activ's merger with Victorian not-for-profit organisation genU. Ms Amies started her career as a disability support worker and later ventured into mental health, health access for disadvantaged people, government policy. She served as WorkSafe Victoria chief executive from 2015 to 2019, before becoming genU chief executive in June 2020.
