Christiaan Jordaan is the founder and chief executive of Sicona Battery Technologies, a Sydney-based battery technology company established in July 2019. He has also been the co-founder & business development executive of Novalith, a Sydney-based climate technology company, since August 2021.
Prior to that, Mr Jordaan was the managing director of New Energy Minerals from 2016 to 2017 before transitioning to the role of non-executive director, then becoming managing director again from June 2019 to March 2021 and a short stint as non-executive director before retiring from the board in April 2021. He also has extensive experience in managing mining and energy projects in Mozambique. He was chief executive and co-founder of Regius Resources Group, the Mozambican-focused mining and exploration company that has been operating in Mozambique since 2004.
