Christiaan Heyning has over 20 years of mining industry experience, and has worked almost exclusively with resource companies and heavy industries on strategic and operational issues.

Mr Heyning was a founding partner of McKinsey & Co’s Perth office, leader of its oil & gas practice in Australia, providing digital and analytics services to resource companies in Asia. He left in April 2022 after almost 20 years at the company, following his appointment as head of decarbonisation at Fortescue Future Industries.
