
Chris Stan-Bishop began his career in the surveying industry in 2004 while working part-time and studying for a Bachelor of Surveying. Graduating with honours in 2008, his degree addressed all facets of the surveying discipline including Engineering and Construction Surveying, Cadastral Surveying, Mine Surveying, Hydrographic Surveying, Aerial Photogrammetry, Digital Remote Sensing, GPS Surveying, Geodetic Surveying, Deformation Monitoring, Cartography and GIS. After graduation, Mr Stan-Bishop continued working at Neptune Geomatics after joining the company in 2006 as a construction and offshore surveyor where he was involved in the construction and installation of the Pluto Oil Platform off the west coast of Karratha in Western Australia. He was the senior surveyor and managed a team of surveyors and support staff. Mr Stan-Bishop returned to Albany in 2010 and joined Albany Mapping & Surveying Services to continue its expansion and extend the range of surveying services which now includes surveying, town planning, property development, engineering, aerial photography, photogrammetry, aerial mapping, and 3D modelling using UAV (drone) technology.
