Vice Admiral Christopher Ritchie AO served as chief of navy in the Australian Defence Force and was Australian Theatre Commander and head of capability systems. Vice Admiral Ritchie was also Maritime Commander Australia and director of general military strategy and concepts, naval policy and warfare.
