
Catherine Livingstone AO is a company director with business and finance experience across a range of industries and organisations. Her executive career spanned more than 22 years where she held general management and finance leadership roles, primarily in the medical devices sector and including six years as chief executive of Cochlear. Ms Livingstone was the former chair of Telstra Corporation and CSIRO. She has served on the boards of Macquarie Group, Goodman Fielder and Rural Press. She has also contributed to the work of the Innovation and Productivity Council for the New South Wales Government. Other directorships and interests included WorleyParsons, The George Institute for Global Health, Saluda Medical, Business Council of Australia (President), and Australian Museum Trust (President). Ms Livingstone was awarded the Centenary Medal for service to Australian Society in Business Leadership and in 2008, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for service to the development of Australian science, technology and innovation policies to the business sector. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Accounting, is a Chartered Accountant and was the Eisenhower Fellow for Australia in 1999.
