Cameron Grebe is an experienced senior executive within the petroleum & energy industry.
Mr Grebe became head of the environment division of NOPSEMA (National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority) in August 2011. In May 2021, the division was expanded to take on decommissioning as part of a the government’s agenda to increase focus on aging offshore infrastructure. Mr Grebe represents NOPSEMA (and Australia) as a member of the International Offshore Petroleum Environment Regulators group. He became acting chief executive from November 2022, and will continue in an acting capacity until January 2023.
Prior to NOPSEMA, Mr Grebe spent 12 years as an environmental engineer, advisor and manager at Woodside Energy and Shell Global Solutions International where he was responsible for the environmental and social impact assessment and management of large-scale upstream exploration, production and liquefied natural gas projects.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Engineering) from RMIT University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Energy Studies from Murdoch University.
