Brett Woods is a geologist and geophysicist with over 20 years of oil and gas industry experience including senior management, technical and business development roles.
Mr Woods joined Santos in February 2013 as exploration manager for the company’s Perth‐based WA and NT business units. He then became general manager for WA & NT in January 2014; vice president of Eastern Australia in August 2015; vice president of development in April 2016; executive vice president for all operated onshore development and production in February 2017; chief operating officer in May 2021; president of midstream and clean fuels in May 2022; and executive vice president for Western Australia, Northern Australia and Timor-Leste in June 2023. Mr Woods became the chief executive of Beach Energy at the end of January 2024.
