Bob Peters

Bob Peters is one of the state’s most successful car dealers and a renowned breeder and trainer of thoroughbred horses. Noted for his sales ability, management skills and entrepreneurial endeavour early in his career, along with Brian Gardner, Mr Peters was a founding partner of the Autoways chain in the 1960s which included Melville Motors. Through that and individually he was involved in numerous dealerships in Perth. In 1985 he acquired the BMW franchise Auto Classic. He sold 70 per cent of that business to Regent Motors in 2015. He has also been involved in trucks sales under the Mack brand.
Outside the automotive world, Mr Peters is considered the state’s most successful breeder and trainer of thoroughbred racehorses through his Yalebra Stud.
