Barrie Bolton has a wealth of experience, with a long and successful career within the mining industry spanning over 30-years. He worked in diverse and often challenging exploration environments, negotiating access and agreements with local land owners and government authorities. Mr Bolton was involved in the geological characterisation of the world-class Groote Eylandt manganese deposit for almost 10 years. He has managed exploration for mesothermal Au in Ghana, porphyry Cu-Au exploration in Mongolia (including early drill testing at Oyu Tolgoi) and over 6 years at Ok Tedi Cu-Au mine in PNG. Mr Bolton was also a director of Groote Resources, and spent 18 years alternating between advising and managing BHP’s exploration program for manganese worldwide before joining Pacifico Minerals in 2011.
