Annette Tilbrook has extensive commerce and strategy background, and has lived and worked in Asia for 5 years.
Ms Tilbrook was the founding honorary secretary, executive director and board member of the Australia-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce from 2017 to 2020, where she was responsible for guiding the newly-formed organisation in its goal to becoming the key platform for Australian business advocacy and engagement within the ASEAN region. She was also an advisor to the board. Prior to that, Ms Tilbrook was the executive director of AustCham in Singapore for nine years where she grew its business fourfold and led the transition of the Chamber from a predominantly social organisation to one of the leading foreign business chambers in Singapore and the leading Australian business chamber in Asia. She was also the founding secretary of Australian Business Asia (2010-2012), a grouping of 16 Australian chambers and business councils whose mission is to provide a collective voice for Australian business throughout the Asia region.
Ms Tilbrook has been deeply involved with the Australian New Zealand Association, holding a number of office appointments including as president, vice president and committee member from 2000 to 2008. She had supported the development of its Sports City, a very successful multi-faceted sports ground developed by the association to support football, AFL, touch rugby and cricket, predominantly for the ANZA community.
Ms Tilbrook is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
