Andrew Young has over 25 years of experience in senior executive and director roles within leading agribusinesses in Australia and South East Asia. He also has experience in soft commodity trading and processing, commodity risk management, strategic joint ventures and business acquisitions, and international grain trading.
Mr Young has been the executive chair of grain accumulation and trading business Plum Grove since September 2009, including as managing director until December 2020. Prior to that, he was managing director of agribusiness for Melbourne-based financial group Austock for 2 years, held senior executive roles including as general manager of strategy and business development at the CBH Group during his 4-year tenure, and was managing director of AgraCorp for 6 years.
Mr Young is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and completed the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD business.
