Shares in Nomad Building Solutions were up 26 per cent today, after the company announced it would acquire privately-owned Bloomer Constructions Qld for up to $10.4 million, which offset news of an expected loss in its McGrath Homes business.
Nomad Building Solutions' recently appointed non-executive director Heather Gardner has been promoted to chief executive officer, following a board shake-up that included the resignation of managing director Andrew Sturcke earlier in the month.
Peter Abery has stepped down as chairman of Nomad Building Solutions, with David Franklyn replacing him.Mr Franklyn has been a director at the company since 2011.
Nomad Building Solutions has placed its Queensland operations on ice and appointed a new chief executive, having earlier moved to wind down its Western Australian-based regional housing and commercial modular building businesses.
