Okapi goes in big on uranium enrichment entity

Okapi Resources is set to become the single largest shareholder of a private Australian company developing and commercialising a bleeding-edge uranium enrichment technology after entering into a binding agreement with Ubaryon. Okapi currently has its foot on a suite of uranium assets in North America and says the investment will help it manufacture a processed form of uranium that is typically imported from Russia.

Okapi expands USA uranium footprint

ASX-listed Okapi Resources has reinforced its uranium footprint in the United States after securing full ownership of 45 new mining claims and one State Mineral lease in Colorado. The acquisition stretches the boundaries of the company's Maybell uranium project where historical production tipped the scales at 5.3 million pounds of triuranium octoxide running a solid average grade of 1300 parts per million.

Okapi to drill Canadian uranium ground after lodging permits

The looming probe follows a recent exploration drive that unveiled a bevy of compelling targets prospective for deeper lying mineralisation.

Okapi hits high-grade gold in NSW

Okapi Resources has received the last of its assay results from a recently completed seven-hole diamond drilling program for 1440m at the company's Enmore gold project in NSW's New England Fold Belt. Further significant gold mineralisation was encountered including a broad 28m hit grading 2.03 grams per tonne gold from 191m downhole.

Okapi rock chips unveil fresh uranium drill targets

Okapi Resources has wrapped up its maiden field exploration program at its Newnham Lake and Perch projects in Canada, returning anomalous uranium in over half its 69-piece rock chip samples and highlighting several compelling drill targets. According to the company, the best result graded 265 parts per million triuranium octoxide prompting the explorer to up the ante with a pair of new year drill campaigns.

Diamond drilling yields high-grade NSW gold for Okapi

Okapi Resources has tabled a suite of high-grade assay results following a seven-hole, 1440m diamond drilling program at its Enmore gold project in NSW's New England Fold Belt. The intersections were delivered courtesy of the campaign's first two holes and include 4m at a solid 8.85 grams per tonne gold from 184m and follows a 2021 RC campaign that delivered a slew of compelling strikes.

Okapi gets aerial view of Canada uranium play

Okapi Resources has launched a helicopter-supported review at its wholly owned Newnham Lake and Perch projects, part of its larger Athabasca Basin uranium tenements in Canada. The work is part of a maiden exploration program including prospecting, outcrop sampling and vegetation analysis to help identify favourable structural settings for uranium mineralisation.

Okapi expands North American uranium footprint

ASX-listed Okapi Resources has expanded its US uranium portfolio after staking more than 460 claims covering 3,600 hectares to acquire the high-grade Maybell Uranium project in Colorado. According to the company, the tenements boast historical production figures of 5.3 million pounds of uranium trioxide with a cracking average grade of around 1,300 parts per million.

Uranium and gold explorer Okapi Resources has appointed former Newmont and LionOre executive Brian Hill to the role of Chairman, replacing Peretz Schapiro who helped engineer Okapi's turnaround over the last year. Hill has a solid domestic and international record of building mining companies into significant acquisition targets.

Okapi to probe Canadian uranium ground

ASX-listed Okapi Resources has upped the ante at its North American uranium play after signing an agreement with Canada's ALX Resources to secure a portfolio of six advanced exploration projects in the Athabasca Basin. Collectively, the projects house 75 granted mineral claims across 55,000 hectares and sit in the world's premier uranium district according to the company. Okapi will initially probe two projects with superior exploration potential.
