Amanda Cleaver, director of Raine Medical Research Foundation, worked in research management and medical research for over 16 years. Previous experience also includes employment in the commercial sector as a research assistant with Ozgene, a small biotech company that specialises in the generation of genetically modified mice for research purposes. Ms Cleaver holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from Curtin University, Honours in Microbiology from the University of WA, PhD in Cancer Biology from the UWA School of Medicine and Pharmacology, Masters of Business Administration at Curtin University (with distinction), and has completed the Leadership Development for Women program at UWA and the Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS) Foundation Accreditation program.
