Alyson Eather's expertise lies in advising public and private sector clients in relation to major projects including complex contract risk review and advising in relation to strategic project delivery advice. She is highly experienced in all aspects of construction from the tendering and procurement process to contract negotiation, award and administration, and has produced a number of presentations and publications regarding these areas. Ms Eather regularly sits as an advisor on a range of mining and resources projects and historically has provided key legal advice in relation to a range of projects ranging from asset disposals, services and maintenance contracts to construction and infrastructure projects. Her experience includes a long-term secondment with Oakajee Port and Rail as legal counsel of construction, a secondment with Colliers International as the acting general manager of legal, and a long-term secondment with the Sydney Catchment Authority as a contracts specialist. Ms Eather has completed a 12-month secondment in the office of DLA Piper Singapore prior to being appointed a partner in DLA Perth's finance and projects team in April 2018. In 2009, she was named Lawyers Weekly "Young Gun to Watch".
