Allen Newton is one of WA's most experienced journalists with a career that includes roles as managing editor of The Sunday Times and PerthNow, and as editor-in-chief of Fairfax's WAtoday. He was the founding editor of PerthNow and is one of Perth's most experienced digital editor. Since early 2016, Mr Newton has been using his years in journalism to help a host of clients tell their stories through the media as a partner in husband and wife team Newton Ganska Communications. Clients range from WA's biggest food and wine festivals to technology, not-for-profit organisations, hospitality and businesses of all sizes. He started his career in journalism in 1972 as a copy boy for the now defunct Sunday Independent newspaper in Perth and over the years, he has worked in television, newspapers and online. Mr Newton has also worked outside the media in his own public relations firms, and as the marketing and communications manager for an international corrosion control company. Mr Newton and his wife Helen Ganska now operate Newton Ganska Communications from their home.
