Alexander Tancock has been a pioneer in the global renewable energy industry for more than 19 years, having been involved in the development, construction and operation of over 3GW of renewable energy projects onshore and offshore, in Europe and across the Asia Pacific region.
After working for E.ON in the UK and CWP in Australia, Mr Tancock founded Wind Prospect (HK) in 2005 to work in the growing Chinese renewable energy market and to develop the proposed 200MW Hong Kong Offshore Wind Farm. The business was sold to CLP Group, one of the largest utilities in Asia, in 2013. After the sale, he co-founded InterContinental Energy.
Mr Tancock has advised banks, government and private equity groups on renewable energy and has worked with Asia Pacific Capital, Modern Group and Swire Pacific Offshore on over US$5B of deals spanning a decade. Mr Tancock remains an advisor to two private equity funds, Oxford Capital Partners and Nature Elements Capital.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst with a Bachelor of Science in Theoretical Physics from Imperial College UK.
