Alastair Smith

Alastair Smith has co-founded numerous companies including ASX-listed Hyperion Metals and Allos Environmental Inc, a US-based multi-state integrated waste management business.

Mr Smith is an executive director and managing partner of Focus Capital Partners, a Sydney- and Los Angeles-based venture advisory firm with a key focus on resources, infrastructure and industrial sectors. Prior to that, he was a director of Sydney-based merchant bank Blackwood Capital, worked in wealth management at Euroz Securities and Patersons Securities, and was a business consultant executive at Pitcher Partners/Baker Tilly International in Perth and London.

Mr Smith holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Applied Finance and Commercial Law), a Masters in Accounting. and was a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA).
