WA's Gascoyne region is emerging as one of the State's newest lithium hotspots with local exploration heavyweights snapping up prime locations in the hunt for valuable EV mineralisation. Delta Lithium hit the headlines last year with its Yinnetharra project and more recently, Minerals 260 crashed the party by grabbing 1700sq km of tenements near Delta's northern lithium project.

Venus Metals has entered into a binding term sheet with ASX-listed eMetals for the sale of its Nardoo Hill lithium exploration tenement in WA's Gascoyne region. Under the terms of the deal, Venus will receive $15,000 in cash, 25 million shares in eMetals priced at $0.014 cents per share and it will retain some upside to the project courtesy of a $0.50 cent per tonne royalty for any ore extracted from the tenement.

Coziron is on the hunt for rare and critical metals at its Shepherds Well project near Karratha, with four multi-commodity prospects demarcated for follow up work and drilling. The project is located about 60km south-west of Karratha and the Perth-based ASX listed company has collected some 325 soil samples to firm up targets across a one to two-km-wide shear zone. The shear zone is prospective for rare earths, nickel, zinc, base metals and even detrital gold.

Coziron Resources will soon be on the ground at its Croydon Top Camp project in WA's Pilbara region, after expanding its gold target zone by re-assaying historic samples that peaked at 4.9g/t gold. The company has secured a rig and is preparing to drill approximately 2000m across some very prospective rock sequences, where a prospector recently recovered an astounding 203 gold nuggets in the area.
