The Transport Workers' Union of Australia (TWU) is a union based on the Organising model. It is largely progressive and militant. The TWU is affiliated with the Australian Council of Trade Unions and the International Transport Workers' Federation.

The looming federal election could mark a big shift in political power, not just in Canberra but also WA.
Qantas has slashed the capacity of its international flights by almost a quarter for the next six months due to the coronavirus impact. The airline also announced cost saving measures, including cuts in salaries for its top executives.
