Former ASX-listed company Agri Energy became Sirocco Energy in 2012 as part of a proposed deal to acquire a 49% interest in a Sudanese oil asset. The deal fell through after Agri/Sirocco's public offer closed under-subscribed. Sirocco's principal activities were in the energy and resources sector.
In 2016, Sirocco changed its name and nature of business after it acquired online community marketplace service AssembleBay in a reverse takeover deal.
