Venus Metals and JV partner, Rox Resources have tabled their first set of metallurgical test work numbers at the Youanmi gold project in West Australia's Goldfields. The results show an impressive average gold recovery from the oxide material at the Grace prospect of 97 per cent. The test work also returned a gold recovery of 94 per cent in oxide material at the Plant Zone and Main Lode.

Venus Metals is set to convert its 30% interest in the Youanmi gold project into a free carried interest up to a decision to mine with partner, Rox Resources set to do the heavy financial lifting. The move comes after the JV partners tabled a stunning 25 metre drill intersection going over an ounce to the tonne gold from the Grace prospect.

Shares in Rox Resources have risen by more than 50 per cent today after the gold explorer released latest assays for its Youanmi joint venture project in Western Australia.

The Grace prospect sits neatly between the old Youanmi pit and the mothballed mill and is shaping up as a standalone deposit in its own right. Other exceptional results tabled this week include 6m grading 5.7g/t from 24m.

Venus Metals has entered into a binding term sheet with ASX-listed eMetals for the sale of its Nardoo Hill lithium exploration tenement in WA's Gascoyne region. Under the terms of the deal, Venus will receive $15,000 in cash, 25 million shares in eMetals priced at $0.014 cents per share and it will retain some upside to the project courtesy of a $0.50 cent per tonne royalty for any ore extracted from the tenement.

Venus Metals and Rox Resources have hit more gold in RC drilling at their Venus JV project in WA. The drilling is located north of the old Penny West gold mine and followed up on an exciting aircore discovery with the best recent numbers coming in at 3m grading 6.61g/t gold from 78m downhole. New aircore holes, 50m south from the now defined mineralisation, showed an 8m wide zone grading 1.92g/t gold.

Rox Resources has completed due diligence of an expansive drilling database from the Youanmi gold project in the Murchison region of WA and confirmed a 1.2 million ounce gold mineral resource estimate for the mine area. The company last week entered into a deal with Venus Metals under which it has the right to acquire a majority position in the Youanmi gold mine.
