For more than 120 years, Parkerville Children and Youth Care has stood alongside children, young people, and families impacted by trauma and other significant adverse events, committed to breaking cycles of harm and building stronger, safer futures.
Parkerville aims to deliver inclusive, evidence-informed, trauma-informed services that respond to the impacts of childhood sexual and physical abuse, neglect, homelessness, exposure to homicide, high educational risk, childhood experiences of mental health, and family violence. Parkerville also provides early intervention and prevention services to address issues and build skills to reduce the need for the more crisis-driven responses.
Parkerville supports children, young people, and families. This includes reshaping out-of-home care through its Our Way Home model; developing an integrated response to child sexual abuse through MIST (Multi-Agency Investigation and Support Team) in partnership with WA Police; and creating accessible hubs of support through Child, Youth and Family Centres in Midland, Armadale, and Rockingham.
