The device works by creating a three-dimensional electrical waveform designed to cause severe discomfort and spasms in a shark's short-range electrical sensors.
In 2018, the Shark Shield company became Ocean Guardian and pursued an ASX listing via an IPO. The company later decided to postpone the listing process until some time in 2019.
