Founded in 1991 by Masoud Abshar, Magellan Power is an Australian manufacturer of AC and DC UPS systems, backup power solutions and off-grid solutions that support mining, defence, utilities, oil & gas, healthcare, transport and infrastructure projects across the country. Magellan Power’s aims to provide systems that are tough, reliable and built to last in Australian conditions, and to support these with fast, local service.
Magellan Power operates out of facilities in Perth, Brisbane, Port Hedland and Newman; employing engineers, electricians, apprentices, PhD candidates and specialists across R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance and field service.
Through Magellan Power’s 4R program (Repair, Refurbishment, Repurposing and Recycling), the company is committed to sustainability; ensuring every battery they work with serves a purpose, whether it’s powering a critical site or feeding materials back into the supply chain.
