Leichhardt is a private, unlisted majority-Australian owned company headquartered in Subiaco. Leichhardt’s consortium of owners includes former Dow Chemical Company chairman and chief executive Andrew Liveris, Tracker Global (Australia), Resource Capital Funds (USA), Victor Smorgon Group (Australia) and ConSalt GmBH (Germany).
The proposed Eramurra Solar Salt Project is targeting production of 4.2 million tonnes per annum of high-grade Industrial Salt, coinciding with the projected 2027 global shortfall. The project aims to deliver multi-billion-dollar value to the Pilbara and hopes to diversify the region’s economy with hundreds of skilled jobs and contracts for local Karratha-based businesses.
