Javelin Minerals' latest testwork program has confirmed the presence of both gravity-recoverable gold and free-milling gold at its Coogee project near Kalgoorlie. Latest results also show copper can be recovered separately. Further testing will continue at the project, which last year unveiled a new gold mineral resource estimate of 1.42 million tonnes at 1.07 grams per tonne gold for a total of 49,000 ounces.

Junior explorer Javelin Minerals has kicked off a 4000m air core drilling program at its Coogee project near Kalgoorlie in WA. Using a ‘lake drill rig' the explorer will test gold and copper targets at its Coogee West area, including a 3km gold trend containing bottom-of-hole anomalous results of up to 0.47 grams per tonne gold. The project covers an area of about 17 square kilometres.

Lefroy Exploration and Carawine Resources are set to raise nearly $11 million cumulatively after receiving backing from sophisticated and institutional investors.
ASX-listed explorer Victory Mines has extended the length of the gold-copper mineralised trend at its Coogee project near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia to 1km, with latest drilling results including 8m at 3.03 grams per tonne gold and 0.37 per cent copper from 124m in the “Eastern Trend” area. Assay results from other holes remain pending as the recently commenced drilling program motors on.
Victory Mines has wrapped up a second round of reverse circulation drilling at its Coogee gold project 55km southeast of Kalgoorlie on the north-eastern shore of Lake Lefroy. One of the best intercepts from Victory's latest bundle of samples returned a broad width of 28m at 1.2 g/t gold from 128m downhole, including 16m at 1.68 g/t gold.
Things are heating up for ASX-listed explorer, Impact Minerals across two projects in New South Wales. Government approvals have now been received for a highly-anticipated drilling campaign at the company's 100 per cent owned copper-gold Apsley prospect in the Lachlan Fold Belt. The results from final assays at the Broken Hill Project are also being assessed for follow-up drilling.
Okapi Resources is onto extensive gold anomalism at its Lake Johnson project east of Norseman in WA. Soil sampling across the company's Mt Day gold prospect has thrown up three priority gold targets, the largest of which covers close to 2,000 metres of strike. Management is now planning further sampling across the targets as it looks to drill test them in the coming months.
Fresh from ongoing success in the Eastern Goldfields, Lefroy Exploration has switched its attention to the west, to embark on an early-stage quest at another enticing prospect near Lake Johnson. The company's Bullseye target has sat untouched for more than 20 years and is defined by a 2.5-kilometre-wide ovoid-shaped aeromagnetic anomaly which Lefroy believes may represent an underlining mafic or ultramafic intrusion.
Victory Mines has completed the purchase of the Coogee gold project with the company expediting the terms of its farm-in agreement through a share purchase agreement. The company will issue the current holders of the project, Ramelius Resources, $1 million in shares to deliver full ownership to Victory Mines.
