Hawkstone Mining has increased the Exploration Target for its Big Sandy lithium clay project in Arizona state USA, by 23% through new geological mapping and surface sampling in the Northern Mineralised Zone. The updated total Exploration Target for Big Sandy now sits at between 271.1 million and 483.1 million tonnes grading from 1,000 ppm lithium to approximately 2,000 ppm lithium.
Hawkstone Mining has produced a maiden mineral resource estimate for its Big Sandy lithium clay project located in Arizona State, USA, totalling 32.5 million tonnes grading 1,850 ppm lithium, for 320,800 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent. Lithium Carbonate is currently selling for around AUD$15,500 per tonne. Hawkstone's resources cover just 4% of the project area and the company said there is still excellent potential to expand these with drilling.
Hawkstone Mining has expanded the Exploration Target for its Big Sandy lithium clay project in Arizona state, US, by 15%, with new mapping and sampling in the Southern Mineralised Zone demonstrating similar geology to ore zones recently drilled further north. The updated Exploration Target now stands at between 280.1 million and 492.6 million tonnes grading from 1,000 ppm lithium to just over 2,000 ppm lithium.
Hawkstone Mining will generate a maiden resource estimate for its Big Sandy lithium clay project in the US later this quarter, as it winds up the comprehensive resource definition drilling campaign over the Northern Mineralised Zone at the large deposit. The latest drilling results have extended the ore system over a strike length of 850m, with mineralisation still open to the north, south and west.
Hawkstone Mining has received additional wide, high-grade lithium assays of up to 52m @ 2,042 ppm lithium, from its Big Sandy clay project in the US. The company is finalising its Phase 2 drilling campaign at the Northern Mineralised Zone and is completing a maiden mineral resource estimate for the deposit and definitive metallurgical test work programs for lithium extraction.
Hawkstone Mining has received more high-grade lithium assays showing wide intersections up to 52m @ 1,953 ppm lithium, from its Big Sandy clay project in the US. The company recently accelerated its exploration and development activities at the project, which will assist in the estimation of a maiden JORC mineral resource and the completion of definitive metallurgical test work programs.
Hawkstone Mining has outlined more high-grade lithium assays from the Big Sandy clay project in the US, including 39m @ 2,015 ppm lithium from 23m down-hole. The company is poised to accelerate its exploration and development activities at the project, following a recent oversubscribed placement for $2.4m, which will facilitate the estimation of a mineral resource and the completion of definitive metallurgical test work programs.
Hawkstone Mining has appointed experienced investment banker and corporate advisor, Barnaby Egerton-Warburton, as its Non-Executive Chairman to oversee financing of the emerging Big Sandy lithium clay project in Arizona, US. He previously held executive roles in the resources sector and was most recently a Director of ioneer Limited who is developing the Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron resource nearby in Nevada state.
Hawkstone Mining has generated more wide, high-grade mineralisation in separate ore horizons from diamond drilling at the Northern Mineralised Zone of its Big Sandy lithium clay project in Arizona, US. New results include 47m @ 2,130 ppm lithium from 12m down-hole and the drilling campaign has now defined continuous, thick mineralised zones over more than 600m of strike at the emerging project.
Hawkstone Mining has generated more wide, high-grade mineralisation in separate ore horizons from diamond drilling at the Northern Mineralised Zone of its Big Sandy lithium clay project in Arizona, US. Better results included 26m @ 2,205 ppm lithium from 15m down-hole and 21m @ 2,203 ppm lithium from 10m down-hole from the Upper Zone, within two separate vertical drill holes.
Hawkstone Mining has appointed the former Chief Technical Officer to Lithium Americas Corp, Dr David Deak, as its technical advisor to oversee development of the Big Sandy lithium clay project in Arizona, US. Dr Deak previously led the team that delivered the PFS for the Thacker Pass lithium clay project in Nevada, which will generate 3.135 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent over a 46-year mine life.
Hawkstone Mining has generated further wide, high-grade mineralisation in two separate ore horizons from drilling at the Northern Mineralised Zone of its Big Sandy lithium clay project in Arizona, US. Better results included 17m @ 2,152 ppm lithium from 12m down-hole in the Upper Zone and 36m @ 1,892 ppm lithium from 31m down-hole in the Lower Zone, within the same vertical drill hole.
Hawkstone Mining has generated wide, high-grade mineralisation in two separate ore horizons from drilling at the Northern Mineralised Zone of its Big Sandy lithium clay project in Arizona, US. Better results include 23.3m @ 2,154 ppm lithium from 6.7m down-hole in the Upper Zone and 35m @ 2,078 ppm lithium from 31m down-hole in the Lower Zone, for the same vertical drill hole.
