Middle Island continues to pile more gold into its inventory at Sandstone, with the company tabling its maiden resources for both the Plum Pudding and Old Town Well discoveries increasing its resource book at the developing WA gold project to 692,000 ounces. The company’s updated feasibility study for Sandstone is scheduled for release in the coming months.

ASX-listed explorer, Victory Mines, has fired up the drill bit at its joint-ventured historic Coogee gold project about 55km south-east of Kalgoorlie as it looks to tease out high-grade extensions aiming to build on the resource left by its JV partner more than six years ago. That inferred and indicated resource estimate stands at 96,000 tonnes grading 3.4 grams per tonne for 10,600 ounces of contained gold.

Unlisted Barton Gold has confirmed the high-grade gold prospectivity of its Deliverance target below the historical Perseverance pit, with fresh ‘ounce-to-the-tonne’ drill results from its Tarcoola Phase 1 campaign. The tenure covers over 270 square kilometres of prospective stratigraphy and hosts a previously defined electromagnetic sulphide target in the southern portion of the project area. Geophysical and geochemical surveys over the target are expected to kick off in the coming weeks.

Eclipse Metals has extended the high-grade envelope of manganese mineralisation surrounding the historical mine workings at its Amamoor project in Queensland. AI-powered, home care service provider InteliCare has expanded its reach across the Australian healthcare sector entering into an agency agreement with Melbourne-based company, Rehab Hire, to distribute its technology in Victoria. ASX-listed gold producer, Wiluna Mining, has increased the total resource base for the main Wiluna Mining Centre, or “WMC” at its historic Wiluna project in WA by nine per cent to 5.1 million ounces of contained gold – from 52.98 million tonnes of ore going 3 grams per tonne gold. With a global resource of 7.3Moz, Wiluna is now the seventh largest gold district in Australia.

Indiana Resources surprised investors this morning releasing details of a substantial compensation claim against the Tanzanian government following the expropriation of the company’s Ntaka Hill nickel project in 2019. Indiana’s claim to the World Bank, acting as arbitrator, is for a cool US$95 million and is expected to increase as the company develops its full ‘statement of claim’ in the coming months.
