BMG Resources has launched a round-the-clock diamond drilling campaign at its Abercromby gold project near Wiluna to expand the current 518,000 ounce resource. The drilling will probe high-grade gold zones at Abercromby and initially seek a resource expansion through extensional drilling of high-grade gold zones beyond the existing resource model.

King River Resources has received the final $2.4m cash payment owed by Darwin-based Tivan Limited for its acquisition of King River’s Speewah critical minerals project in WA’s Kimberley region, as part of a $20m consideration.

Aurum Resources has been buoyed by encouraging gold recoveries of up to 99.4 per cent from independent testwork on diamond drill core from two key targets within its BD tenement at Boundiali in Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa. The scoping metallurgical tests demonstrate excellent potential for high gold recoveries at a relatively coarse grind size of 80 per cent passing a screen size of 106 microns or 0.106 millimetres.

Suvo Strategic Minerals has been offered a chance to field trial its lower carbon cement in a project to replace Victoria’s dangerous level crossings. Suvo’s concrete mixes use cleaner cement made from kaolin amongst other things. The government agency leading the project will also help Suvo navigate the commercial and technical approval processes involved to introduce its cement mixes to the marketplace.

Aurum Resources has completed more than 24,000m of diamond core drilling at its Boundiali “BM” joint venture project in Côte d'Ivoire, earning it an 80 per cent interest in the 400 sq km project. The drilling was undertaken by Aurum’s 100 per cent-owned subsidiary Plusor Global in its Plusor-Minex JV tenement, the other 20 per cent of which currently resides with its JV partner Minex West Africa.

Pilot Energy has entered into a joint development agreement with Capture6 Corporation to progress Capture6’s direct carbon-from-air capture technology at Pilot’s Mid West carbon capture project in WA. The first activity under the binding agreement with California-based Capture6 will be a demonstration of Capture6’s novel water processing and direct carbon capture technology, which Pilot plans to deploy next year at its existing Cliff Head-Arrowsmith operation.

GreenTech Metals has secured firm commitments for $2.3 million via a placement to institutional and sophisticated investors to assist with staged drilling of the company’s Whundo project in WA. The funds will be raised via the placement of 28,750,000 million new, fully paid ordinary shares at an issue price of $0.08 per share.

Surefire Resources has received a formal expression of interest for its Victory Bore vanadium and titanium project from German independent commodities trading company HMS Bergbau AG. The expression of interest in Surefire’s WA operation, extends to the company’s processing facilities in Saudi Arabia and seems to also contemplate a long-term strategic resource partnership.

Radiopharm Theranostics has received approval from the Australian Ethics Committee for the inclusion of additional tumour types into its ongoing phase one clinical trial of a new cancer treatment drug. The trial is the first in-human study to assess the safety and tolerability of Radiopharm’s new drug in patients living with some advanced solid tumours, extending the trial beyond just patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Hillgrove hosts Australia’s largest antimony deposit, with a mineral resource of 7.3 million tonnes going 4.4g/t gold and 1.3 per cent antimony for about 1.04 million ounces of gold and 93,000 tonnes of antimony

BMG Resources is preparing to probe high-grade gold zones at its Abercromby gold project in a round of extensional drilling designed to expand the company’s current maiden 518,000 ounce gold resource at Wiluna. The program was flagged two weeks ago following the company’s successful $1.5 million capital raise from sophisticated and institutional investors and it is now fully-funded to complete expansion drilling at Abercromby and to progress development studies.

Neometals says its pilot-stage ELi electrolytic” process to produce lithium hydroxide from lithium chloride in brine has successfully produced high purity lithium hydroxide monohydrate crystals. The pilot trial involved 1000 hours of exposure of South American lithium chloride brines to Neometals’ electrolytic process and confirmed the expected power consumption, membrane life and scaleability of the commercial application

Terrain Minerals has nailed what looks like a new gold discovery in WA’s Mid-West region with its first pass drill campaign that followed up on historic arsenic soil anomalies. The maiden campaign at Terrain’s Wildflower project hit 9m at 1.17g/t gold from 30m, including 3m at 2.61g/t gold. The 72-hole, 1710m reconnaissance air-core drilling program also picked up multiple broad zones of lower-grade but geochemically-significant shallow supergene gold.

Lindian Resources will pick up between $1 and $2 a tonne by way of a royalty over its Woula bauxite project in Guinea, with two Guinea-based firms set to lease and mine the project. Woula will churn out about 2mtpa and notably, production should commence within 12 months, setting up a handy income stream for Lindian as it looks to commercialise its massive rare earths asset in Malawi.

Reach Resources’ recent strategic review of its Murchison South gold project near Payne’s Find in Western Australia has remodelled and identified a number of open mineralised zones at its Blue Heaven prospect. The review has led to a theoretical repositioning of the Primrose Fault - a key mineralisation control at the project – which has exposed gaps in the block model and opened-up Blue Heaven’s western flank for further exploration.

BMG Resources has received commitments to raise $1.5 million through a share placement to sophisticated and institutional investors which will fully fund its extensional drilling program at its Abercromby gold project near Wiluna, WA. The placement will comprise 150 million new fully paid shares at $0.01 cents per share in two Tranches with the new shares ranking equally with BMG’s existing shares on issue.

Meeka Metals has deftly rid itself of a proposed debt facility and 12,000 gold call options that would have encumbered its soon to be completed gold mine near Meekatharra as investors stump up $35m in equity. A DFS tabled in May that showed the project will spit out pre-tax free cash of $577m is set to be enhanced in December with updated modelling.

Terrain Minerals has delivered an exploration target for its Larin’s Lane prospect of between 25 and 33m tonnes at a total rare earths oxide grade between 880 and 980ppm TREO and from 19 to 21ppm gallium. The company says it expects to launch drilling next year to update that exploration target estimate once results from the program are to hand.

Titanium Sands has won approval from Sri Lanka’s Geological Survey and Mines Bureau to consolidate the five main licences at its Mannar mineral sands project to assist the process of obtaining an industrial mining licence. The consolidation is a requirement of the country’s “Board of Investment” in order to seek foreign investment approval for the project.

ABx Group's 83 per cent-owned subsidiary ALCORE has made significant strides in its efforts to produce high-value hydrogen fluoride from waste after reporting its highest-ever recovery from its single stage fluorine reactor. The company reported a massive 97 per cent fluorine recovery from its 2-stage fluorine reactor, including an 85 per cent recovery from first stage processing of waste produced from the aluminium smelting process confirming a lucrative commercial pathway for the company.

Javelin Minerals has picked up the historic Eureka open pit north of Kalgoorlie where it is seeking to prove up a theory that more golden riches may be lurking nearby. The move follows the spectacular success of Spectrum Metals and Spartan Resources. Both found multi-million dollar gold deposits about 300m north of their mothballed open pits and Javelin already has some intriguing drill holes about 300m north of Eureka suggesting there is more gold out there.

Dateline Resources has wrapped a net present value of US$235m around its Colosseum gold project in California that is set to churn out 635,000 ounces over 8.3 years at an AISC per ounce of US$1490. That number compares favourably to today’s gold price US$2752 an ounce or AUD$4121 an ounce. Dateline will bank a total of US$1.344b in sales over the life of mine with about US$400m of that dropping to the bottom line.

Reach Resources has wound up its RC drilling program at the company’s Wabli Creek project in WA’s Gascoyne region where it searched for the source of niobium and rare earths from recent surface sampling. The company launched its maiden drill program at Wabli Creek on the 4th of October and completed 40 holes for 3013m of drilling, averaging 212m of advance per day at three priority targets.

Javelin Minerals has upped its planned maiden drilling program at the Coogee gold project near Kambalda in WA from 2500m to 3000m after identifying several opportunities to extend known mineralisation. The company plans to launch its combined RC and diamond drilling program in mid-November in two phases to confirm potential extensions below the old Coogee open-pit and to expand mineralisation north and west of the pit.

Surefire Resources has identified nine new drilling targets from reinterpreted IP geophysics data, structural interpretations and re-logging at its Yidby gold project in Western Australia’s Mid West region. The company says the work significantly complements its understanding of the mineral system and controls on gold mineralisation previously intersected by its drilling and points to potential depth extensions for the porphyry-hosted system.
