Chief Operating Officer, Yara
Laurent Trost is the chief operating officer of Yara Pilbara which operates Australia’s largest ammonia plant. The plant also provides the feedstock for an adjacent technical ammonium nitrate plant supplying a critical ingredient to Pilbara mines.
Yara Pilbara is actively advancing its decarbonisation journey through the development of the Project Yuri renewable hydrogen plant on its Pilbara lease, as well as planning for a carbon capture and storage project.
Laurent is a chemical engineer and before taking on his current position in late 2020, he was responsible for Yara’s production operations in Cartagena, Colombia.
