Ngarliyarndu Bindirri Aboriginal Corporation (NBAC) enters new phase of community-led growth under CEO Michael Greene.

Ngarliyarndu Bindirri Aboriginal Corporation is proud to formally announce the appointment of Michael Greene as Chief Executive Officer, marking an important step in the organisation’s continued focus on sustainable operations, community-led outcomes and long-term value for the people it serves.
Mr Greene has been with the organisation for just over 12 months and, in that time, has led a significant program of restructuring, refinement and modernisation. His leadership has focused on strengthening the foundations of the values-based business, applying a continuous improvement approach and ensuring the organisation is well positioned for the future.
During his first year, Mr Greene has made a number of important and fundamentally challenging decisions designed to support the organisation’s sustainability, accountability and operational resilience. With the support of the Board, these decisions have helped realign the business with its foundations and create a deeper sense of pride, purpose and direction across NBAC, contributing to an improved organisational culture overall.
NBAC is a proudly Aboriginal-led organisation based in Roebourne, dedicated to empowering Aboriginal people through culture, employment, social enterprise and self-determination. Its work is grounded in strong values, including honesty, empowerment, equality and pride, and is focused on creating opportunity while honouring culture and community connection.
“Michael has brought clear focus, discipline and care to the organisation over the past year,” said Shanine Ryan, Deputy Chairperson. “He has made difficult decisions where they were needed, but always with the long-term interests of NBAC, our people and our community at the centre. His appointment as CEO recognises the progress already made and the confidence we have in the direction ahead.”
Mr Greene said the opportunity to lead NBAC was both a privilege and a responsibility.
“NBAC has a proud history and an important role in supporting local people, families and enterprises,” Mr Greene said. “Over the past 12 months, our focus has been on strengthening the organisation from the inside out — refining how we work, modernising our systems and rebuilding alignment around our values and purpose. I am proud of the progress our team has made and excited about the opportunity to continue building a strong, sustainable future for NBAC.”
The appointment reflects NBAC’s commitment to strong governance, sustainable social enterprise and culturally grounded leadership. As a purpose-driven organisation, NBAC is guided by its five-year strategy, with clear priorities across partnerships, asset realisation and human capital. Under Mr Greene’s leadership, the organisation will continue to focus on practical outcomes, operational excellence and empowering people through meaningful employment, services and community partnerships.
