Powerful lobby group the Motor Trade Association of Western Australia has appointed Neil Le Febvre as group CEO.
Mr Le Febvre fills the shoes of Stephen Moir who was 15 years in the driver’s seat at the MTA, an organisation of 60 staff representing 1,600 members including some of the state’s richest people as well as a major training organisation.
Mr Le Febvre has more than 30 years of leadership experience, most recently as the chief executive of Outdoors WA, an advocacy group for adventure tourism operators, clubs, event organisers, retailers and professional associations.
Until last month he was also chair of the Outdoor Council of Australia, the national peak body for the outdoor industry.
His previous roles include FinTech Services Australia chief operating officer, Craig Mostyn Group COO, and HBF general manager marketing, product and communication.
The MTA described Mr Le Febvre as a leader with more than 30 years' experience who has overseen $1.6 billion in revenue, secured over $500 million in capital, and led transformations across fintech, agriculture, and membership organisations.
MTA WA President Robyn Cook said the Association was entering an important chapter as the automotive industry navigated rapid change and evolving workforce needs.
“We are evolving in response to significant technological advances and workforce pressures - a moment that calls for strong, strategic leadership,” Ms Cook said.
