Today, the next generation – siblings Caitlin, Matthew, and Luke – lead Technical Resources (TR) into its next chapter. Together with a team of over 30 professionals, they are combining deep industry expertise with the same family-first ethos that has underpinned the company since day one.
A Family Business, Professionally Scaled
Caitlin Iustini, CEO, has spent nearly two decades streamlining TR’s operations and now leads with a focus on growth, innovation, and people-first recruitment. “We exist to change lives for the better, one placement and one partnership at a time,” she says.
Matthew Iustini, Chief Growth & Innovation Officer, drives new opportunities and partnerships. Known for his coffee-fuelled networking, he emphasises that recruitment is about more than roles: “When you help someone find a job they love, it’s about their happiness, their family, and their future.”
Luke Iustini, CFO, ensures financial and corporate services remain strong. “Every dollar we save, every plan we make, comes back to supporting our clients, our team, and our community,” he notes.
This balance of vision, innovation, and discipline has allowed TR to consistently deliver results. The company has facilitated thousands of placements across WA in mining, engineering, and construction, while supporting major tier-one projects and SMEs alike.
Industry Insights and Expertise
Western Australia’s economy is at a critical juncture. Demand for skilled professionals in mining, construction, and critical minerals is rising, while workforce shortages remain a persistent challenge.
“We’re seeing strong demand for mechanical engineers, environmental specialists, and project controls professionals,” Matthew notes. “Businesses that plan ahead and partner strategically on workforce supply will be the ones best placed to deliver projects on time and on budget.”
TR’s ability to stay close to industry trends and maintain a robust contractor network has made it a trusted advisor to clients navigating these challenges.
Community and Education at the Core
From its early days, TR has been committed to giving back. Over the past year alone, the company has supported organisations such as Uniting WA, Dress for Success, Fresh Start, Breast Cancer Care WA, and the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation.
A long-standing partnership with Ronald McDonald House includes sponsoring three family rooms, offering comfort to families during difficult times. Meanwhile, the Technical Resources Scholarship at Curtin University, now in its 10th year, continues to support first-year engineering students entering industries vital to WA’s future.
Expanding Horizons: The Launch of PARTNER
Recognising that leadership drives industry outcomes, TR launched PARTNER Executive in 2023 – a specialist senior leadership and executive search firm for the global industrials market.
Since inception, PARTNER has been trusted by listed companies and private enterprises alike. Its progressive approach blends TR’s long-held values with modern executive search practices. “We’ve set out to create a polished, innovative executive search experience that feels values-driven and future-focused,” Matthew explains.
Looking Ahead
As TR marks 35 years, the siblings remain ambitious: strengthening their national presence, exploring international opportunities, and deepening their impact in the industries they know best.
But through it all, one focus remains unchanged: people – their clients, their contractors, their team, and their community.
“Family values aren’t just our history,” Caitlin says. “They are our future. They guide every placement, every partnership, and every decision we make.”
For businesses seeking a recruitment partner with both deep technical expertise and values you can trust, and for professionals looking for a role that can shape their future, Technical Resources offers something distinctive.
