A Perth-based building technology company that promises to take homes from start to lock-up in just four days has reached an agreement to expand into the US market.
NXT TEC holds the exclusive licence to build homes using the NXT Building System, a novel building system combining 11 patented technologies to bring homes to lock-up in just four days, reducing inefficiencies, costs and environmental impacts.
The company today announced an expansion into the US market via a partnership with M2i Global, a US-based engineering, research and services company.
As part of the partnership, M2i will help facilitate licensing deals for the NXT Building System to be used by builders in the US.
NXT TEC chair and managing director Natasha Di Ciano said the partnership would help the company advance sustainable building practices worldwide.
“Partnering with M2i Allows us to expand the reach of our advanced building solutions and integrate them into a broader vision of sustainability,” she said.
“This collaboration aligns perfectly with our long-term vision of creating environmentally friendly, socially responsible, and economically viable projects.”
M2i chief executive Alberto Rosende said the move would help address ethical supply chain issues.
“By combining NXT’s pioneering building technologies with our expertise in critical mineral supply chains, we are poised to reshape both construction and resource extraction in a way that prioritises ethics and efficiency,” he said.
“Together with Not For Sale, we are ensuring that the communities we engage with are positively impacted.”
It’s a coup for NXT, which has made headlines in recent times including for their involvement in building a $200 million, 26-room mansion in the Shire of Chittering.
The sprawling 40,000 square metre home, to be known as ‘Madalyn Manor’ will include a helipad, underground car garage, several ground level and rooftop pools and extensive gardens, and is the brainchild of architect and NXT Building Systems inventor Mataki O’Goshi Lim.
NXT Tec is separately seeking to build a luxury golf resort on a neighbouring plot of land to Madalyn Manor in Chittering.
The company gained state government approval in 2019 and local government approval in 2021.
