CSC contract bonanza

Technology services firm CSC has signed a new agreement with the State’s Department of Justice worth up to $40 million over three years.

It is the company’s second major State Government contract for the year.

WA Business News also understands that CSC is in the final stages of signing another large contract in the next month.

Under the terms of the DoJ contract, CSC will provide all IT infrastructure services to the department, including more than 4,000 PCs and laptops in 150 locations over three years, with a further two one-year options.

The contract, which was won through open tender, is a continuation of services that CSC had provided to DoJ since 1999.

The contract will service all functions of the DoJ including courts, prisons, community justice, Director of Public Prosecutions, Parliamentary Council, Public Trustee, Family and Children’s Court, Equal Opportunity and other Justice related Departments.

The contract is the second major WA Government contract win for CSC, which secured a new five year $50 million contract with the WA Police in February for infrastructure services.

As with the DoJ, CSC had been the incumbent provider to WA Police prior to the work being put out to tender.

CSC WA State manager Bruce Dinsdale said the DoJ was a major customer for CSC.

“We have worked very hard to achieve this win and are looking forward to taking our business relationship to the next level,” he said.
