Baptistcare chief executive Russell Bricknell has taken a new role as the boss of fellow aged care provider Juniper.

Baptistcare chief executive Russell Bricknell has taken a new role as the boss of fellow aged care provider Juniper.
Mr Bricknell replaces Chris Hall, who led the organisation for the past four years and announced his retirement in April this year.
Prior to his role leading Baptistcare, Mr Bricknell was the global chief executive of Aged Care Channel Australia, overseeing operations in Australia, the UK, Ireland, and New Zealand.
He has held other senior roles in the sector, including as chief operating officer at Australian Home Care, and the executive director of Christ Care in Queensland.
Juniper board chair Maree Arnason said Mr Bricknell was a highly experienced leader.
“Mr Bricknell has led major organisational transformation and change management in aged care, essential pre-requisites for leading Juniper through major reforms that are impacting the Australian aged care sector,” she said.
“He has both strategic leadership and operational level experience in the aged care sector at national and local levels, together with a record of building successful teams.”
Mr Bricknell starts his new role at the provider, ranked as the second largest aged care provider on Business News’ Data & Insights, on December 2.
It has more residential aged care beds than Baptistcare, which is ranked seventh.
