Bend-tech Group, a Perth-based industrial manufacturer and fabricator, has achieved triple ISO certification covering quality (ISO 9001), environmental management (ISO 14001) and health and safety (ISO 45001). The certification was audited and issued by SAI Global - Intertek, completed in August 2026.
Tier-one miners and prime contractors are raising the bar on supplier assurance. Businesses that can prove integrated management maturity, not just hold individual certificates, are the ones winning long-term work.
Bend-tech Group pursued triple certification as part of its continuous improvement strategy. Dan Bersan, Head of Operations, led the project from February through to certification in August, bringing together what were previously separate quality, safety and environmental systems into a single Integrated Management System (IMS). The bigger task was change management. Bend-tech Group consulted with workers throughout to deliver a system that closely reflects frontline practice, rather than one built around paperwork alone.
"Achieving ISO certification wasn't just about the paperwork. It was about making sure every team member feels responsible for how we work and how we look after each other," says Dan Bersan, Head of Operations at Bend-tech Group.
Bend-tech Group worked with Work Risk Consulting Group Pty Ltd throughout the process, with HSEQ Business Partner Rene Nel leading the partnership.

The certification has already lifted standards for health, safety and environmental practice on site, as Bend-tech Group works towards best-in-industry frontline WHS practice. Workers are now engaging with safety before harm occurs, reflecting a shift in workplace culture built on the idea that everyone deserves to go home safely at the end of the day. The IMS applies at group level and is relevant across Bend-tech Group's ISO certified divisions, including CDEC, ROX, Grizzly and BT Metals.
