The craft brewery is stepping up its ambition to expand the Beerfarm brand to the east coast.

One of Western Australia's top craft breweries founded in Metricup, Beerfarm, has launched a capital raise of up to $13 million to support a national growth strategy and expansion to the east coast.
The funds will enable the development of a new 26-acre site in Glenworth Valley in New South Wales' Central Coast as the next step in Beerfarm’s ambition to build an independent Australia-wide beer and hospitality brand.
Construction planning at the Glenworth Valley development, located just off the M1 on the Central Coast, approximately an hour’s drive from Sydney and Newcastle, is underway.
The expansion is expected to grow the business’s national production capacity by a million litres and act as a key hub for east coast distribution.
The Glenworth Valley site will feature a working brewery scheduled to open in late 2025, followed by a restaurant and event space to open in 2026.

Beerfarm's Western Australian venue, founded in 2015 on a 1940s dairy farm in Metricup, brings in over 150,000 visitors annually.
The craft brewery has evolved from the grassroots into a successful business which extends beyond beer production and distribution to bring unique rural hospitality events.
Its WA site in Metricup offers brewery tours and farm-to-plate dining as well as live music, community events and one of the state’s biggest rodeos.
Beerfarm founder and director Ian Atkins said the brewery has always been about more than beer, but bringing the local community together.

“We’ve always set out to do things differently, to create more than just a brewery, a place that brings people together,” Mr Atkins said.
“Our Metricup venue has become a staple for both locals and visitors, and we’re excited to bring that same spirit to Glenworth Valley.
"This is about delivering unique immersive experiences for the local community, wherever we go.”

The Glenworth Valley region is one of the fastest growing areas within NSW, with a high volume of tourism.
“This capital raise allows us to take a proven concept and introduce it to a new audience, and NSW is just the beginning.,” Mr Atkins added.
“With other sites also on the horizon, we’re setting the foundations for something truly national, while staying independent and true to our roots.”
Beerfarm plans to work with local suppliers, host community-led events, and integrate sustainable practices like on-site agriculture, renewable energy initiatives as well as waste strategies like fertigation to minimise its footprint on the land it resides.
