Wunderman Thompson national consulting director Gavin Bain has stepped up to be the advertising agency’s chief executive. Mr Bain started his career at the company as a Perth-based managing director in 2020. He was previously the chief executive of advertising agency Meerkats in Subiaco. Mr Bain sits on the Advertising Council Australia and had been chairman of Communications Council WA.
Former Federal MP Celia Hammond has started a new role as a commissioner on the Catholic Education Commission WA. The practicing lawyer served as Curtin MP from 2019 to 2022, and was University of Notre Dame vice chancellor before entering politics. CEWA also welcomed Marist Schools Australia national director Frank Malloy as commissioner. Dr Malloy is the Executive Officer for the Marist Association of Saint Marcellin Champagnat.
Alyson Martinovich has joined Knight Frank’s WA team as Head of Tenant Representation as part of the real estate business’ expansion in the state. Ms Martinovich has 16 years of experience in real estate in Australia and the UK. She joins from ACCORP, where she was based for almost two years. Ms Martinovich also previously worked at CBRE, JLL and Savills.
Perth-based Satterley Property Group has hired Stuart Skerman as its chief investment officer, to be responsible for national acquisitions, investor engagement and banking relationships across multiple projects. Mr Skerman was recently managing director at Gresham Partners in Melbourne, a company where he spent almost 13 years at. He had been a member of Mission Australia Housing - Financing Advisory committee.
Property Council of Australia WA Division has welcomed Richard Kilbane as its new president, replacing Paige Walker. Mr Kilbane is the chief operating officer at Hawaiian and had been with the group for 17 years, in various roles. He has been a Property Council of Australia WA Division member since 2014. Mr Kilbane is also a board member at homeless shelter service St Bart’s.
Tourism WA has appointed Western Australian Cricket Association chief executive Christina Matthews to its board. Ms Matthews had been WACA’s CEO since 2012, following a career as a record-breaking cricketer for Australia in the 1980s and 1990s. She also sits on multiple boards, including CEOS for Gender Equality, Youth Focus, and Leadership WA. Prior to WACA, she was a general manager at Cricket NSW.
Rebecca Banks will be chief executive of Perth Radiological Clinic, after acting in the role since October. Ms Banks has been acting CEO after the retirement of Lenka Psar-McCabe, stepping up from her roles as chief financial officer and chief operating officer. She joined PRC in January 2019. Allister Legge has also been promoted to chief financial officer after acting in the role since October.
Pragma Lawyers has promoted Elizabeth Keen from Senior Associate to Special Counsel, and Deborah Low has stepped up from Associate to Senior Associate. Ms Keen started as a lawyer at the Subiaco-based law firm in 2018, before making her way up to associate and senior associate. Ms Low joined Pragma in early 2022 from Conveyancing.com.au, where she was state manager. Emma Richards and Max Used have also been promoted to Associate level.
