New brokers in position for rebound
PERTH'S stockbroking scene has undergone some major changes over the past year as the sector repositions itself to take advantage of growing market confidence.

Tony Kenny is a finance industry executive with over 20 years of experience in a stockbroking and investment advisory capacity. Mr Kenny began his career in stockbroking with Porter Western in 1996, predominantly servicing high networth individuals and the smaller institutional market. When Macquarie Financial Services acquired the business in 1999, he broadened his scope to incorporate equity capital markets capabilities for both local industrial and resources related companies, managing raisings and transactions for a large number of ASX-listed entities. Mr Kenny left Macquarie in 2005 and worked for Stripe Capital, before joining Blackswan Equities where he managed a high networth client-base and assisted in the equity capital markets work. He specialises in advising and assisting growth companies, capital markets and equity funding requirements, business strategy, restructuring and pathways, and listing specifically in the small to mid-cap space.
