Simon Thompson is a British investment banker and business executive with global experience in the metals and mining industry.
He has held several high-ranking industry positions during his career including as executive director of Anglo American, non-executive director and chair of Tullow Oil & Rio Tinto, as well as being non-executive director of Newmont, AMEC Foster Wheeler and Sandvik.
