Sam R Leon

Mr Leon has over 40 years of experience across all sectors of the property industry, with 26 years at the Investec Group first as a director of Investec Property (Pty) Limited, then managing director and currently as deputy chairman. He was a founder of and part in the transformation of Growthpoint into South Africa's listed property fund and was a director until the Investec Group sold its interest in October 2007. He also served on the board of the South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA). He retired as chief executive officer of Investec Property Fund Limited on 31 March 2015, having held this position since April 2011. He remains on the board of Investec Property Fund Limited as non-executive deputy chairman.
