
Richard Johnson has practiced exclusively in Restructuring and Insolvency since 2003 and regularly acts for major financial institutions, many of Australia’s leading insolvency practitioners and various other stakeholders (landlords, creditors, suppliers, directors, joint venture partners, employees, suppliers etc) in relation to all aspects of corporate insolvency and restructuring including receivership, voluntary administration, deed of company arrangement, creditor trusts and liquidation. In addition to his expertise in formal insolvency matters, Mr Johnson has significant experience with financial restructuring engagements and in using informal mechanisms to provide businesses with the opportunity to achieve a turnaround or to address and rework the debt and equity components of an unsustainable capital structure. Mr Johnson also provides advice in relation to corporate governance matters, distressed disposals and acquisitions, stakeholder management and informal workouts.
