Michael Pivac co-founded FBR (formerly known as Fastbrick Robotics) with his cousin Mark Pivac in November 2015, and is the company's global chief executive & managing director. Mr Pivac spent 20 years in the aviation sector as an airborne mission coordinator with Australian Border Protection and Search & Rescue, specialising in Electronic Detection Systems and strategic & tactical mission planning, working closely with Australian & international government and military agencies. He has broad experience in night vision, infrared and radar detection systems. Mr Pivac has also owned and operated businesses in the retail, hospitality and transport sectors; and has extensive business operations management experience in the areas of logistics and transport, hospitality and national 24/7 multi-business unit operations. He was named West Australian Entrepreneur Of The Year at EY's 2019 Entrepreneur Of The Year Western Region awards.
