Michael Venter
Chief Financial Officer, Interim CEO since 2023 / Optus
Michael Venter is a senior finance executive with over 25 years of experience in banking, funds management and insurance.
Mr Venter has been the chief financial officer of Optus since March 2021. He became interim chief executive in November 2023 amid a federal government review into the telecom’s nationwide outage.
Prior to Optus, Mr Venter was a director of two ASX-listed retail property trusts and was involved in an IPO, a de-merger, a de-listing, and several M&A transactions.
